The ‘classic’ eight pushbutton interface of the Datax3 is perfect for selecting items to control and adjusting their parameters. Some of the more complicated parameters of your serial data devices can be displayed and values changed by a very simple set of key presses - and all without resorting to sitting down in front of a central PC!
Custom graphic templates make information easily readable and understandable. The display can be viewed under all lighting conditions - even direct sunlight. More importantly, the Datax3 is so cost effective that you can have your house full of them giving you full control of your home automation from every room.
The Datax3 is an Open-Source PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) for your serial data Home Automation project. An SDK is available to enable system designers to devise custom controllers. Contact us for more information.
Multiple serial ports make simultaneous interfacing to different protocols possible. With four seperate serial data communication ports the Datax3 becomes a ‘translator’ between different serial data devices making serial data home automation devices ‘talk’ to each other in ways which would never otherwise be possible.
Run a single serial data cable to one Datax3 and use its multiple serial ports as a breakout box to a number of other serial home automation devices that could all be on different baud rates or protocols. The Datax3 is the serial data translator and hub that you’ve been searching for.
Fully EIA/TIA-232 compliant serial ports can be configured as +/-10V swing or +5V logic levels to be compatible with all your serial data RS-232 home automation devices.
For Home Automation applications, the Datax3 is also available in a natural (silver) anodised finish.
